About the role: 

We are recruiting for an HR and Operations Manager to support the full scope of HR responsibilities across our London studio. The role also looks after the operations management of our Soho based studio, which involves supporting remote workers and ensuring that they have the correct equipment and home set up. The company is currently working remotely but is planning to get back into the office on a flexible basis. 

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for: 

Human Resources:

  • Overseeing the recruitment process across the company 
  • Organising all new starter inductions, issuing contracts and ‘Right to work in the UK’ checks
  • Administering work permits, certificates of sponsorship (CoS) and visa applications 
  • Overseeing staff contract status and organising contracts
  • Coaching and supporting individuals to create Professional Development Plans 
  • Responsible for implementing and overseeing new processes to support career development 
  • Streamlining processes to ensure efficiency across the business e.g., onboarding, offboarding, logging overtime and TOIL
  • Implementing and continuously monitoring company policy documents, ensuring they comply with current legislation
  • Managing the company benefits scheme 
  • Leading on company health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Handling grievances, disciplinaries and mediation 
  • Tracking holidays, sickness and staff attendance
  • Supporting senior managers with employee relations issues 
  • Managing the salary review process, probation reviews and appraisals 
  • Managing 360-degree feedback assessments on projects 
  • Executing and managing employee engagement surveys 
  • Line managing company Runners 

Office Operations: 

  • Overseeing the day to day running of the studio (currently all working remotely)
  • Overseeing office renovations and office move
  • Organising accommodation, logistics and travel for staff and visitors
  • Organising company events and parties
  • Managing contracts and relationships with external service providers (including, cleaners, phone, plumbers, electricians)
  • Purchasing supplies for office, ensuring it is well stocked 
  • Working with the IT & Systems Manager to ensure remote staff have necessary equipment
  • Completing workstation assessment with staff and finding solutions to any issues 
  • Health and Safety - organising staff training, adhering to legislation 
  • Updating the company insurance information, ensuring adequate cover 

About you: 

  • 3 years experience as an HR Generalist 
  • Experience in administering and/or coordinating HR processes 
  • Strong relationship builder 
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • Ability to influence and communicate to all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
