About the position

We are on the lookout for an Animator/Animation Director who will divide their time between creating detailed and amazing animation and developing animation and performances according to the Directors creative brief and the projects technical requirements. As an Animation Director you are responsible for preparing and leading the work to produce the final animation output together with Leads and Supervisors from Layout, Motion-capture, Body animation, Facial animation and Key-frame animation as well as defining the needs for Facial modeling, Facial Rigging, Body Rigging and Character FX. As an Animator we believe that you thorough knowledge of Maya, and a solid understanding of animation principles with experience in character, creature, vehicle, and hard surface animation. You should have a strong intuition for realistic weight and timing and the ability to troubleshoot problems independently.

What you bring:

• Extensive work experience within Animation (VFX or Cinematics)
• Experience with both Keyframe and Mocap animation techniques
• Advanced working knowledge of Maya and Motionbuilder
• Experience collaborating with Rigging and Character TD’s to develop rig’s and character & creature simulation desirable
• A thorough knowledge of the principles of animation with experience in character, creature, vehicle and hard surface animation
• Have a great intuition of realistic weight and timing
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
