Talent Manager
About the position
The Talent Manager plays a vital role in managing the studio's resource capacity across all locations, ensuring it aligns with planned work and resource requests. As part of the Planning Department, the Talent Manager works collaboratively across the organization to optimize resource allocation and foster the growth and development of artists within their assigned disciplines.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Heads of Departments to support and guide the professional development of the artists in your care. You’ll also play an active role in project assignments, ensuring the right talent is matched to project needs while providing opportunities for each artist to grow and thrive.
A key aspect of this role is building and strengthening your teams by identifying recruitment needs, collaborating with Talent Acquisition, and facilitating the hiring process to ensure the best fit for your disciplines.
This is a hybrid role where the ideal candidate would preferably be able to work from our Stockholm or London office a couple days a week.

What you will get to do
Resource Management
Define the resource strategy for the departments, including identifying recruitment and training needs
Maintain an overview of resource schedules and capacity for all ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring alignment with planned work and resource requests.
Collaborate with Production and Heads of Department to plan and assign artists to projects, adjusting as needed to meet studio priorities.
Manage and approve leave applications, balancing project and studio requirements.
Play an integral role in developing and refining processes around resource planning, talent management, and recruiting. Work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders to implement improvements and ensure best practices.
Monitor and report on overall resource utilization, working with Production to address immediate project needs and maintain efficiency.
Talent Management
Act as the first point of contact for artists, managing their professional development plans and ensuring growth opportunities.
Foster a culture of continuous feedback for team members by identifying peers to provide input and collecting performance feedback.
Ensure all new starters receive proper onboarding as according to studio practices. Identify, assign, and coach onboarding buddies.
Facilitate offboarding tasks for employees and freelancers
Talent Acquisition
Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition to:
Ensure all positions, including short-term freelancers, are filled in a timely manner.
Clarify job requirements, role descriptions, and soft skills/personality traits needed for open roles.
Screen and present candidates to Hiring Managers
Ensure a high-quality candidate experience and professional service throughout the recruitment process.
Confirm and negotiate compensation within salary and rate brackets.
What you bring

Proven experience in the Animation, VFX, or Games industry in roles such as production or artist management.
Deep understanding of project workflows and the ability to anticipate resource needs at different production phases.
Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset, able to make informed and sometimes difficult decisions for the benefit of the team and company.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams, fostering growth, feedback, and collaboration.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to actively listen, engage stakeholders, and mediate between competing priorities.
Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
Ability to interpret data, develop actionable insights, and present them effectively to peers and leadership.
A flexible and solution oriented personality that thrives in a fast paste and dynamic environment.
