At Goodbye Kansas, we’re always on the lookout for the next generation of artists, designers, and storytellers to contribute to our award-winning projects across Games, VFX and Animation.

This is your chance to express interest in joining us as an Intern across one of our creative or technical departments – including Build, Shots 3D, Shots 2D, and Creative.

Whether you’re currently studying), or you’ve recently graduated and want to kickstart your career, we welcome applications year-round. We don’t run one fixed scheme – but when the right timing and opportunity align, we love bringing interns on board.

What You’ll Be Doing

Our internship opportunities are shaped around your skills, interests, and learning goals. Depending on your background, you could gain experience in areas such as:

Build Department

• Character, Creature and Face Modelling
• Texturing, Shading and Lookdev
• Rigging and Technical Animation
• Groom and Environment Creation

Shots Departments (2D & 3D)

• Layout and Previsualisation 
• Lighting, Rendering and Compositing
• FX and Simulation Work
• Scene Assembly and Integration

Creative Department

• Concept Art and Visual Development
• Storyboarding and Motion Design
• Editing and Post-production Support

From your first day, you’ll be paired with a dedicated buddy and supported by a welcoming team of artists, leads and supervisors. You may have the opportunity to contribute to live productions, or take on a focused development project that supports your learning goals and our studio pipeline. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into studio life, receive regular mentorship and feedback, and build skills in a real-world production environment.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for curiosity, collaboration and creativity. If you have a passion for storytelling, design, or technology – and want hands-on experience in a leading studio – we want to hear from you!

You might be:

• A student completing an internship as part of your curriculum (e.g. LIA)
• A recent graduate looking for your first studio opportunity
• A self-taught artist or technician ready to see how a professional pipeline works

What happens next:

1. Ongoing Review – Our Talent and Department teams regularly review new expressions of interest. 
2. Shortlisting – If your profile matches an upcoming opportunity, we’ll shortlist you for an interview.
3. Meet the Team – You’ll be invited to an informal interview with your Talent Manager, Head of Department, and relevant supervisors.
4. Offer Stage – After interviews, we’ll make a decision and let you know if we can offer you an internship.
