Goodbye Kansas Studios Internships
Turn your passion into practice with an internship at Goodbye Kansas
Internships
We’re always on the lookout for the next generation of artists, designers, and storytellers to contribute to our award-winning projects across Games, VFX and Animation.
This is your chance to express interest in joining us as an Intern across one of our creative or technical departments including Build, Shots 3D, Shots 2D, and Creative.
Whether you’re currently studying, or you’ve recently graduated and want to kickstart your career, we welcome applications year-round. We don’t run one fixed scheme – but when the right timing and opportunity align, we love bringing interns on board.
What you'll be doing
Our internships are designed around your skills, interests, and learning goals. Depending on your background, you could be part of anything from kick-starting a production through Concept Art and Visual Development, to Previsualisation and Layout. You might help craft stunning characters and environments, or contribute to the final stages of FX simulation, Lighting, and Compositing. Wherever you join the pipeline, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a studio where creativity has no limits.
From your first day, you’ll be paired with a dedicated buddy and supported by a welcoming team of artists, leads and supervisors. You may have the opportunity to contribute to live productions, or take on a focused development project that supports your learning goals and our studio pipeline. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into studio life, receive regular mentorship and feedback, and build skills in a real-world production environment.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for curiosity, collaboration and creativity. If you have a passion for storytelling, design, or technology – and want hands-on experience in a leading studio – we want to hear from you!
You might be a student completing an internship as part of your curriculum, or a self-taught artist or technician ready to see how a professional pipeline works
Got a portfolio or reel (even a work-in-progress)? We’d love to see it.

During my internship at Goodbye Kansas, I had the opportunity to work on real productions and learn from highly skilled senior artists. As a 3D generalist, I got to explore a wide range of tasks and projects, which helped me develop a solid understanding of the studio’s workflows and departments. This experience has equipped me with the skills and confidence to launch my career. The warm, inclusive atmosphere at GBK is unlike any other workplace I’ve experienced. We collaborate not just as colleagues, but as friends.
